With projection screens, the standard matte-white model is known for being “mistake-proof”. The surface, the most versatile on the market, produces great results due to the projector light being evenly distributed. This creates a brighter and more realistic image consistently.

Some fabric is better than others. For example, a screen providing a brighter picture may lack visual quality due to a narrower viewing angle. Other fabric is less bright to reduce ambient glare, making mages easier on the eyes.

Width-Height Aspect Ratio
Many screens have a 4:3 aspect ratio (1.33:1), a format used for non-widescreen media such as 4:3 video and PowerPoint presentations.

Many sizes are available. A good rule of thumb is to fit your projection screen to the audience. Location and size are determined by room size. The height should be 1/6 the distance from the screen furthest audience for viewers to see a clear and detailed image. The first row of seating should be two screen heights away.
